The Government has failed to inject money and support local communities in Northampton after last week’s so-called Levelling Up funding announcement. No surprise that Rishi Sunak’s own constituency of Richmond in Yorkshire received £19m of levelling up funding, and much of the rest is going to relatively wealthy areas in the South East.
