“Lib Dem motion to clamp down on houses of occupation and rogue landlords will be real improvement for communities”

Lib Dem Councillor Sally Beardsworth (Lib Dem, Kingsthorpe) is delighted that the motion she put to the Borough Council on Monday was unanimously passed with little change.

"Houses of Multiple Occupation are serious and growing problem in many areas of our town" commented Sally. "Many conversions that have a real impact on the local community are not currently licensed. This motion will give the Council the power to get tough on rogue landlords with much greater effect."
