Woodford and Weedon LibDem Candidates

John Butlin

I am a long-standing member of the Liberal Democrats and have supported the party through thick and thin having stood previously for the council in Abbey South.

I have lived in Ashby St Ledgers all my life and work as a healthcare assistant at St Cross hospital in Rugby so have a particular interest in healthcare and its provision.

Zbigniew Chetnik

Born locally in the Cotswolds, he has lived in the Daventry area for over 15 years, has two grown-up children and three step-grandchildren. He has previously served as a volunteer in Territorial Army and is currently employed within the fire prevention sector.

Having supported the Liberal Democrats for some time he is keen to see the principles of the party furthered while the needs of the community are put to the fore, he will strive to ensure fairness and retention of services wherever possible.

Now is the time for change, time for our communities' voice to be heard.

Together we will create a place where we want to live.

Alan Faiers

Having been a Liberal Democrat supporter since the party's creation, Alan finally joined following the Brexit referendum fiasco, and remains a firm EU supporter.

He has lived and worked in the East Midlands for 37 years and believes that the Liberal Democrats are the only party with the abilities and integrity to represent the local people in these challenging times. While strongly in favour of building a diverse community, as a councillor Alan would  increase pressure on the Planning department to put a stop to developments that exceed their Planning Permission limits.

When not working as an Electronics Engineer and Computer Programmer Alan, with his wife, enjoys walking their dogs, playing bridge and is a very active church bellringer.
